Alice Faye Lewis Winfree, 69, died Friday, September 23, 2011 at Manor Care in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Aberdeen with Rev. Mike Branscome officiating. Burial will follow at Bethesda Cemetery.
Born January 6, 1942 in Moore County she was a daughter of the late Trace and Grace Lewis, wife of the late Dennis Winfree and was preceded in death by her brother, Tracey Albert Lewis, Jr.
Mrs. Winfree was a Supervisor for Carolina Telephone Company and many other telephone companies and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Aberdeen
She is survived by three sisters, Doris (Dot) Wilson of Aberdeen, Shirley Garner of Vass, and Josephine Britt of Candor, one brother, Charles A. Lewis of Aberdeen
The family will be receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Aberdeen.

So sorry for your loss. Alice’s late husband Dennis Winfree was my great uncle. I actually spoke to Alice a year or so ago for the first time. I wish I could have met her in person.
