Alice Coefield Madden Longcor, 94, of Southern Pines died March 20, 2016.
She was born in St.John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, the daughter of Edward and Frances Ronayne Coefield.
She was predeceased by her husbands, PFC Aloysius G. Madden, who was killed in Germany in World War II, and Joseph Van Auken Longcor.
Surviving are her two sons, Steven W. Longcor, and wife, Patricia of Mountain View, CA; R.Terry Longcor and wife Virginia of Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA; a sister, Sr. Cecilia Coefield, RSM, of Windham, NH; and five grandchildren:

Robert of Boston, MA
