Alma Foster Seawell, age 76 of 1689 Putnam Glendon Road, died Thursday (January 8, 2009) at First Health Moore Regional Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Cool Springs United Methodist Church with the Rev. William Cashion and Rev. Jeff Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late William Henry Foster and Ida Belle Smith Foster. She worked for many years in the textile industry and was previously employed by Quality Mills, Carthage Fabrics and Ithaca. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Bradley Seawell.
She is survived by: a daughter, Marsha S. Brown of Carthge; a son, Roger Seawell of Carthage; two sisters, Helen Montinger of West End and Mae Dollar of Tramway; a brother, Eugene Foster of West End; a granddaughter, Beth Seawell.
The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home on Saturday from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. and at other times at the residence.
