Jean McBryde, 73, of Ashley Heights NC went home to her Maker on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 surrounded by family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015, 11:00 am at Ashley Heights Baptist Church officiated by the Reverend Kevin Huff.

Family will receive friends at the church prior to the service starting at 10:00am.

A private family burial will follow at Shiloh Presbyterian Church.

Jean was the daughter of Lonnie Fish and Ollie Burgess.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Leonard 'Mac' McBryde Jr.; two daughters, Pam Poe of Shallotte NC, Daphne Logue (Brian) of Durham NC; three sons, Bryan McBryde (Amy) of Whispering Pines, Ryan McBryde (Marylove) of Aberdeen, and Leonard McBryde III of Aberdeen; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Ashley Heights Baptist Church Building Fund, 10351 Aberdeen Road , Aberdeen NC 28315

Powell Funeral Home and Crematory of Southern Pines is serving the family.

  1. What a precious friend. Can’t imagine life with her. We have laughed so much and cried together for over 38 years. God has received a wonderful woman who loved the Lord, her family, friends and everyone she met. Always helping and giving. She will be miss

  6. It has been many years since we have been in touch. I would drive my mother-n-law to have her hair done. I remember Jean’s infectious laugh and beautiful smile. She was always so sweet. Our condolences to her family, you are in our prayers.
