Alvin Louie LeGrand, 85 of 7867 Hwy. 705 died Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at his home.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM. Friday, August 7, 2009 at Rock Hill Friends Church where he was a member, with the Rev. Tom Powers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. LeGrand was born in Columbia, SC. November 1, 1923 he moved to Robbins in 1960; in 1964 he opened and operated LeGrand Heating and Air where the business served most of the surrounding counties. He was an Army Veteran of WWII serving from 1943 till 1945. He served in Combat Duty in the European Theater. He was Honorably Discharged in 1945 as a Sergeant. His interests include Gardening, going to church, Church Activities and Spending time with his family. He was a member of Woodman of the World and Central Farmers Mutual Insurance Co; where he served on the Board of Directors for 27 years. He was a Sunday School Teacher at his church and was also active in the Boy Scouts. His parents Louie Lewis and Bonnie Marie Griffin LeGrand Granddaughter Ashley E.
