Ann Taylor Clifton

Ann Taylor Clifton, age 92, of Pinehurst died Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Fox Hollow Senior Living in Pinehurst. 

A native of Danville, VA she was a daughter of the late John H. Taylor and Pearl Hall Taylor. 

She retired from AT&T as a Marketing Manager.

She  was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Claude J. Clifton, Jr. Together they came to Moore County in 1979 and enjoyed the area for many years. They enjoyed golfing and traveling together. 

Also preceding her in death was her son Claude J. Clifton, III and her siblings. 

She is survived by her daughter Marty Young and husband Greg of Pinehurst; son Randy Clifton of Southport; sister Mary Lou Miller of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren Travis Clifton, Kelly Sasher, Chris Young, Katie Cramer, Sam Clifton; great grandchildren Caden Sasher and Connor Clifton. 

Ann and her late husband Claude will both be interred in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
