Laura Annette (Lloyd) Adams, 86, of Southern Pines, NC, died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Quail Haven Healthcare Center in Pinehurst.
Annette was born August 31, 1928 in Hillsborough, NC to the late George Brandon Lloyd and Ruby Oakley Lloyd. Annette will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Adams, Jr., her daughter Laura Adams Jernigan, her sister Nellie Ruth Hathcock, and her brother George Lloyd. She is survived by her children Mary Beth Adams of Southern Pines and Bobby Adams of Southern Pines; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; her brother David Lloyd, and her sisters Jeanne Frederick, Edna Liner, and Mary Alice Robinson. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Powell Funeral Home 160 East New Hampshire Ave Southern Pines NC. A graveside memorial service will be held at Bethesda Cemetery in Aberdeen, NC on Wednesday, May 20 at 2:00pm . Aunt Annette Adams was such a beautiful person — inside and out. Though she did not prefer we call her that name, she would always manage a smile and give a big hug! I have so many wonderful memories of family get-togethers over the years in Sou Pines as
