Arlene Elizabeth Brewer Morgan 88, died peacefully, on Friday, May 6, 2016, at the home of her daughter, Blanche Brewer, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Providence Chapel Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Reverend Bo Wansley and Pastor Ralph Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Browns Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. Arlene was born on June 10, 1927, in Moore County to the late James Robert and Etta Allen Brewer. She worked in both the poultry and textile industries. Arlene loved the Lord and reading her Bible. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed trips to the beach. Arlene enjoyed listening to Bluegrass music. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 51 years, John Morgan; son: Tommy Morgan; sister: Shirley Scott; brothers: Lendo, Cleo, J B Brewer; half-brothers: John, Albert and E R Brewer.
Arlene is survived by daughter: Blanche Brewer, grandchildren: Sherri Brewer Beane, Jerry Bryan Brewer and wife Rhonda; great grandchildren: Lynn, Chelsey and husband Barry, Tyler, Colby, Allen, Cheyenne, Aidan, Courtney; great great grandchildren: Yulisa, Kolby and Kaitlyn; sister: Mabel Hall.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her daughter, Blanche Brewer.
