Anne Arlene Jeffries Lineberry, 79 was born on June 30, 1935 and passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015 from an extended battle with Parkinson's Disease. She died peacefully surrounded by her family and friends at Tara Plantation in Carthage , NC.

A celebration of her life is will be held Saturday April 25, 2015 at 11:00AM at the Cameron Baptist Church with Dr.Wayne Greene officiating. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall following the service.

She was the daughter of the late Johnston Joseph Jeffries and Anna Arch Jeffries. She is preceded in death by her sister Virginia Mae George, Kernersville. She was born in Pittslyvania Co., VA. As a young girl her family moved to Moore Co where she attended school. She married the love of her life Leon Lawrence Lineberry in 1953. Arlene was a devoted Mother and wife. She supported Lawrence in his early career as a game warden for the NC Wildlife Commission. After several moves across North Carolina they chose to retire on her family farm in Moore County. She loved her home and enjoyed feeding and watching birds in her backyard. She was also blessed to enjoy many wonderful trips traveling with family and friends.

Arlene always put God first in her life and strived to be a Christian role model . She was a member of the Cameron Baptist Church. She studied 15 years with the Living Word Ladies Bible Study.

In addition to her husband of 62 years, Lawrence Lineberry; she is survived by son: Leon Lawrence Lineberry, Jr (Pam)of Burgaw; daughter: Cathie Kemp Hoover (John) Winston-Salem; four grandchildren: Leon Lawrence Lineberry III (Katie, Raleigh, Jessica Woelk (Daniel), Burgaw, Amy Lineberry, Wilmington, Johnathan Kemp (Brooke), Cameron, two great grandchildren: brother: Johnston Joseph Jeffries, Andrew, sister: Belva Collins, Cameron, many nieces and nephews.

The Family would like to thank the caregivers from Tara Plantation and First Health Hospice for the excellent care and love they have shown to Arlene during her illness.

 

A memorial in her honor can be made to the Cameron Baptist Church Building Fund, P O Box 155, Cameron, NC 28326 or First Health Hospice, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
