Mrs. Arlene McKenzie Williams, 88, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Powell Funeral Home in Southern Pines with visitation being from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM before the funeral service. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
She is the daughter of the late John Franklin and Mary Elizabeth Morgan McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin E. Williams; sister, Helen Feeney; four brothers, Herbert, Curtis, Burton, and Jack McKenzie. She was retired from Sprint Telephone Company.
Surviving is daughter, Janet Tinker and husband, C G of Washington, NC; son, Douglas M. Williams and wife, Martha of Pinehurst; grandchildren, McKenzie Herbst of Carthage and Bethany Williams of Chapel Hill; and great grandchildren, Isiaha and William Williams both of Carthage.

I am Sharon Caddell Lowder from Star N.C. I was so sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. Not only did I know her from Star but from Aberdeen First Baptist Church.
She was a sweet and gentle lady and she will be missed.
