Arthur Jack Beck, 87, of Robbins died Monday, April 25, 2016 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice House in Wilmington.

 

Funeral service will be held Thursday,  April 28, 2016 at 2 p.m.. in Robbins First Wesleyan Church where he was a faithful member. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2 p.m.. at the church. Burial will be held at Waddell Chapel Church cemetery near Bennett.

 

Mr. Beck was born in Randolph County and retired from Milliken and Company after 44 years of service. At his church, he served in various capacities including trustee, usher, greeter and served on the board for thirty years. He also was the church gardener, making sure the church had beautiful flowers on the church grounds.

 

Mr. Beck is survived by his loving wife of nearly 65 years, Dorothy; daughters, Wanda Garrett (Bill) of Wilmington, where Jack and Dorothy made their home for the last seven months, Martha Narayan (Sridhar) of  Wilmington; sons, Farrell (Diane) of Lexington, David (Charline) of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; twin brother, Robert Mack Beck (Shirley) of Robbins and Fred Beck (Wilma) of Ramseur.
