Barbara Maness Luck 72, died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at her home.

 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Union Grove Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Reverend Dr. Ron Chaney officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Barbara was born in Montgomery County and was a lifelong resident of the Westmoore Community in Moore County.  She worked for Energizer Battery for over 33 years. She loved her family and spending time with them, she was a loving mother and grandmother.  Barbara appreciated seeing new places and traveling was always a joy for her.  Barbara was involved in her church and enjoyed activities with her Sunday School class.  She volunteered for Meals on Wheels for many years, prior to her illness. She will be greatly missed by everyone.

 

Barbara was a daughter of the late Lennie Carson and Mae Garner Maness and was preceded in death by her brother Barney Maness.  

 

Barbara is survived by daughter: Karen Holden and husband Mitchell, of Siler City; son: Tony Luck, of Seagrove; grandchildren: Danielle, Stephanie, Taylor;  great grandchildren: Riley and Camdyn; sister:  Bernice Moore.

 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Friday December 19, 2014 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other time at the home of her son, Tony.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Grove Baptist Church, 7912 Union Grove Church Road, Seagrove, NC 27341.
