Barbara Burks, age 68 of 133 Cheek Lane, died Sunday (12/27/2009) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday (12/30/2009) at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Tony Connor officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Stephen & Johanna Musa Buksar. She retired as office manager with the ophthalmology office of Dr. Maxwell Morrison in Pinehurst.
Surviving are her husband, Linwood "Butch" Burks, a daughter, Donna Marie Shine & husband, Joseph of Vass and a son, John Wayne Burks & wife, Annmarie of Vass and three grandchildren..
The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 PM on Tuesday (12/29/2009) at Faith Baptist Church, Old Carthage Road, West End, NC.

Our hearts are filled with love and prayers for Barbara. She was a wonderful wife, mother, mother in law, friend, human being. She will be greatly missed by all.
