Barbara Bell 88, died Monday, June 25, 2012 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, where she was a lifelong member, with the Reverend Michael Weber officiating. Burial will follow in Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Bell was the daughter of the late William and Ada Evans Jackson and wife of the late Ernest Lee Bell. She also was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Roy Lester Jackson, Doris Virginia Worthington, Willie B Patrick, Evan Settle Jackson and Henrietta Dawson Allred.
Mrs. Bell held many offices at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, serving faithfully. She was active in the United Methodist Women serving as past president and member of Circle # 1. She loved reading and was a founding member of the Robbins Area Library Committee. Mrs. Bell was also a substitute teacher for North Moore High School.
Surviving is her son, Dr. William Lee Bell, wife, Theron, of Robbins, sister: Frances Jackson Bell, of Robbins, grandchildren: Aaron Lee Bell, wife, Natasha, of Seven Lakes, Lindsay Theron Bell, of Charlotte, Wesley Jackson Bell, of Robbins and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Kennedy Funeral Home.
