Barbara Sue Healy

Barbara Williams Healy, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Funeral service will be 2 PM, Friday, June 26, 2026 at Pleasant View Friends Church, Eagle Springs, NC officiated by Pastor Quint Dunlap and Reverend Tim Landreth. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Barbara was a native of Moore County, and the daughter of the late Atlas Emerson and Blennie Edna Lewis Williams. She was a member of the 1958 class of Elise High School, where she was a member of the Beta Club and the school newspaper staff.  She later served as the President of the class reunion committee and was faithful to keep up with her classmates.  Barbara worked for the City of High Point, Thomas Built Buses and Belks.  She was Publications Director for the Central Baptist Association, WMU Council.  At Pilot View Baptist she taught Sunday School, Girls in Action, was Act Teen Director, sang in the choir and served as the church secretary.  Barbara later became a member of Carolina Memorial Baptist Church where she enjoyed worship and service. Barbara loved all her family and was Secretary/Treasurer of the Williams Family reunion for over 25 years.   She enjoyed Southern Gospel music and attended concerts as often as she could. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brother: Bobby Hugh Williams.

Barbara is survived by daughters: Carol C. Embry (Scott), Melody C. McCracken (Nathan),  Rose C. Maiden (Raymond); grandchildren: Brennan, Nicole, Christin, Jessica, Aaron, Bobby, Heather; 13 great grandchildren; sisters: Betty W. Asbill (Sam), Linda W. Jackson (Robert), Hilda W. Arndt (Sonny), Deborah W. Garner (Kim); brothers: Quincy A. Williams, Riley E. Williams (Janet), David A. Williams (Barbara),Phillip G. Williams (Louise); many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Kennedy Funeral Home.
