Barbara Thomas Fox

Barbara Thomas Fox, age 83, of Westmoore, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2026, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

A native of Moore County, she was a daughter of the late William Etheridge Thomas and Myrtle May Henley Thomas. Barbara worked in textiles for most of her life for various textile companies.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Jack Thomas, Clarence Thomas, Polly Comer, Mildred Hare, and Diane Hall.

She is survived by her children, Chris Fox and wife Kim of Westmoore, Wendy Ritter and husband Bryan of Westmoore, Karen Bean and husband Terry of Westmoore, Lisa Burrow of Asheboro, and Eric Martin of Robbins; sisters, Shirley Jackson of Robbins and Gail Davis and husband Wayne of Westmoore; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 2, at Bethel Church of God. Burial will follow at Pine Rest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, November 1, at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
