Barnie Comer, Jr. 53, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.

 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Bright Light Baptist Church with the Reverend Ralph Voncannon and Reverend Ralph Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in Pine Rest Cemetery.

 

A native of Moore County, he was a self made, hardworking man, a loving father and brother. Barnie retired from Goodyear Corporation. He was a very giving person and enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Barnie was preceded in death by father: Barnie Comer, Sr.; mother and stepfather: Doris and Pete Horner; grandparents: Curtis and Frances Medlin.

 

Barnie is survived by soulmate: Connie Harris; son: Jeremiah Comer; daughters: Laurel Gentry and husband Alan, Adell Horton; brothers: James Comer, Sammy Comer, Donnie Horner, Ronnie Horner and wife Karen, sister: Robin Allen; grandchildren: Elijah, Payten, Macie, Xzavier, Adreanna Carolyne

 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at  the home of Donnie Horner. 221 Gardenia Road, Robbins, NC.

 

Memorial may be made to Bright Light Baptist Church, 541 Plank Road, Robbins, NC 27325.

 

Kennedy Funeral Home is serving the Comer family.
