Beatrice Eleanor Phillips Nall, age 95 died Tuesday (December 23, 2008) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Glendon Independent Christian Church conducted by the Rev. Joe Johnson and the Rev. Bob Yandle. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Green Phillips and Mattie Green Shields Phillips. She was a charter member of Glendon Independent Christian Church where she served as Sunday school teacher, organist and pianist. She was preceded in death by her husband W. Carl Nall; three brothers, Glen Phillips, Joe Phillips and Eli Phillips; and a sister Alice Johnson.
Survivors include: two sons William C (Bill) Nall, Jr. and wife, Lucille of Greensboro and Stephen Nall and wife, Virginia of Carthage and a daughter, Rebecca Forrest and husband, Doug of Carthage; three sisters, Bonnie Purvis of Carthage, Helen Comer of Ellerbe and Dorothy McFayden of Ellerbe; one brother, L. G. (June) Phillips, Jr. of Carthage; three grandchildren, Debbie Purvis and husband, Charles, Philip Forrest and wife Sherry, Judy Ritter and husband Tommy; six great-grandchildren, Ian Purvis, Carla Purvis, Jeremy Forrest, Matthew Parker, Jesica Forrest and Nathan Ritter.
The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday and at other times at the residence.
