Belton Ray Saunders, 85 of 192 Sunset Hills Road, left the home he helped build for his heavenly home ? with Jesus on May 13, 2008. He was born August 22, 1922 in Montgomery County. Belton was the son of the late Rev. Coy Slote and Mary Morris Saunders and was preceded in death by his sister Doris Saunders; brother Matthew Saunders and beloved son Belton Saunders, Jr.
A World War II Naval Veteran, Belton served his country in the Pacific Arena. He was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Robbins, were he served as: board member, Sunday school superintendent, Sunday school teacher of teens and the men
