Bertha Ross Teague, 90, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.

 

Bertha was a Moore County native. She worked in textiles and upholstery. Bertha was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed time spent with her family, especially shopping trips and eating out.  Bertha and her late husband Garrett, like to grow vegetables and she enjoyed preserving the crops for her family. Bertha loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Bright Light Baptist Church. She is a daughter of the late Brady and Etta Hyatt Ross and was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John Garrett Teague and 9 siblings.

 

Bertha is survived by children: Wylene Brower and husband Nelson, Marvin Teague; grandson: Chad Brower and wife Robin; great grandchildren: Andrea, Khalecia, Giannie, Elijah; 3 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.

 

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with Reverend Sammy McNeill officiating.

 

The body will lie in repose from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on Saturday, April 10, 2021 and from 9:00 AM until noon on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Kennedy Funeral Home.

 

Memorials may be made to Bright Light Baptist Church, 541 Plank Road, Robbins, NC 27325. 

 

Kennedy Funeral Home is assisting the Teague Family.
