Betty Cannady Suggs

Betty Cannady Suggs, 83, of Carthage died Thursday, (January 2, 2014) at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday at First Baptist Church in Carthage conducted by the Rev. Raymond Campbell. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn.
A native of Harnett County, Betty was the daughter of the late Bertram and Mildred Barnes Cannady. She and her husband, Kin, moved to Carthage in 1952. Betty retired from Carthage Fabrics as their office manager in 1995, and went to work with her husband at Kin Suggs Insurance until their retirement in August of 2013.
She is survived by: her husband of 64 years Kin Suggs; her daughter Dwan Buddin and husband David of Anderson, SC; son Dwight Suggs and wife Beth of Holden Beach; four grandchildren Kelly Buddin, Glenn D. Buddin, Jr., Jason Buddin and Jeremy Suggs; six great-grandchildren Sean Buddin, Daniel Buddin, Abigail Buddin, Caleb Suggs, Caley Suggs and Cait Suggs.
The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home Sunday from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
