Betty Jean Dowd, age 72, of West End died Saturday at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Private services will be held at a later date.
A native of Moore County she was the daughter of the late Cecil Suddreth and Agnes Tyner Suddreth. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Docky Crane.
Survivors include her husband, Garland Dowd; three sons, Randy Dowd; Steve Dowd & wife, Billie and Jeff Dowd, all of West End; two sisters, Carol Booth and Polly McNeill; two brothers, Winfred Suddreth and Charles Suddreth; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
