Betty Cagle Lineberry, 83, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019 at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy, NC.

Memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Smyrna United Methodist Church, with Reverend David Woodhouse and Reverend Kay Boone officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center.

Betty was a native of Montgomery County.  She worked in the shipping and receiving department in the textile industry for many years.  Betty loved the Lord, her church and Southern Gospel Music. She enjoyed taking trips to gospel music concerts.  Betty also enjoyed caring for her home and her yard. She was a member of the Ladies Sunday School class at Smyrna and also attend Bible Study with her friends, at Ether United Methodist.  Betty was the daughter of the late Irvin and Ella Vasti Comer Cagle and was preceded in death by husband Arvin; son Jeffrey; brothers: Joe, Melvin, Clyde, and Virgil Cagle; sister: Annie Ruth Cagle Rose.

Betty is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, her cats: Sopia and Fuzz, her Smyrna Church family and  all her friends.

The family would like to thank Betty Ingold, for being such a great help and special friend to Betty.

Memorials may be made to Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 203 Smyrna Church Road, Robbins, NC 27325.

  1. Going to miss Betty so much. Was a blessing to have her in our church family. Missing seeing you in your pew at church. She is now breathing free and walking with the Lord and her family and friends.- 

  2. We got to know Betty from our Companions Bible Study group at Ether. She was a kind and special lady. Anytime it was her turn to bring refreshments for the group, she always brought her delicious persimmon pudding which we all loved; if there was any left
