Betty Key Morgan, 86, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Peak Resources Pinelake, surrounded by her family.

Betty was a native of Moore County and a graduate of Elise High School. She worked in textiles, for many years. Betty was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved people and helping others in any way she could. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Browns Chapel Church. She was an active member of the Women’s Circle and was known as a “Prayer Warrior” and loved to read her Bible. Betty loved her family and time spent with them was very important. She was a daughter of the late Charlie and Annie Key and was preceded in death by husband, Jessie Lee Morgan; sister: Hazel Williamson; brother: Ernest Key 4 infant siblings.

Betty is survived by sons: Tim Morgan; Stoney Morgan and wife Olivia; grandchildren: Shana Morgan, Samantha Morgan, Dakota Morgan, Landon Hussey, Travis Morgan and wife Lori, Thaddeus Morgan and wife Michelle; great grandson: Mason; Geraldine Chriscoe Morgan; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Browns Chapel Christian Church Cemetery, with Pastor Shaun Garner officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 9:00 AM.

* If you plan to attend the graveside service, you are invited to bring a lawn chair.

  3. A sweet Christian lady that we all loved. She was an inspiration to many at Brown’s Chapel Christian Church. When the doors were open, you could expect Miss Betty to come in and worship with the congregation. She believed in the power of prayer, and always testified of what the LORD had done in her life. She will be missed and our prayers are with her family during this time.
