  23. Miss Betty Sue was such a lovely person and great friend. She was always the first there when she was needed. When my father passed away she was there for my mother daily. In fact she an Vernon were the first to arrive at the house on the morning of my father’s death. In 1944 my mother graduated from high school at Westmoore. Back then at the graduation ceremony, there was always two mascots (children dressed in their caps and gowns, usually about 5 yrs. old and scheduled to start school the following fall). Betty Sue was one of the two mascots, dressed in here little cap and gown and marching down the aisle leading the graduates into the auditorium. My mom always reminded Betty Sue , and called her “my little mascot”. We loved Betty and Vernon both and will greatly miss them. Blessings to the family. Thank you for sharing her with us and our community for so many years. We will continue to love them both in or fond memories. Roger Williams (Parents..Foy and Helen Williams)
