Billy L. Boone Sr

Billy L. Boone Sr. 77 of Carthage NC died Friday June 10, 2011.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, June13 at Mt Carmel United Methodist Church, with The Reverend James Stalnaker officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in the church cemetery.
Married for 49 years he is survived by his wife Lula Kennedy Boone, son Billy Lee Boone Jr. of Robbins; two sisters Betty Snead of Stuarts Draft Va., Shirley Boone of San Antonio TX.; two brothers, Glenn E. Boone of Winston Salem NC and Daniel L. Boone of Carthage NC., and one granddaughter Nichole Boone.
Mr. Boone was a native of Moore County. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean war and later worked as a foreman for Stanley Furniture Co. in West End for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Effie Caviness Boone, sister Marie Boone Snell and brother Fred J. Boone.
Family will receive friends after the service at the Mount Carmel United Methodist Church fellowship hall.
