  12. Kathy, Joshua and Joseph,

Please accept our condolences for your loss. Well, there’s no greater 1st cousin in all the world than Billy Wallace. On August 24, 1968 on Saturday night Billy invited me to a revival meeting at Beulah Baptist Church where I came to know the Lord as my personal Savior. A few years later God called me to preach the Gospel. After being licensed and graduating from Tennessee Temple University I was ordained into the ministry. And for 45 years I have tried, by God’s grace,to remain faithful to my calling. I have ministered in 32 states and 3 different countries. From preaching in jails & prisons, nursing homes & senior centers, youth and revival meetings, serving as youth pastor and Senior Pastor, Christian broadcaster and associate pastor, songleader and school teacher. Presently I am working full time as an AL licensed funeral director, pastoring a church, keeping up with additional speaking engagements, trying to be a good husband (the last 46 years),a great Dad (the last 43 years),an encouraging father in law (the last 20 years), a happy “Pappy” to 5, (the last 17 years) and thanks to your dear Billy, a Christian (the last 53 years). Thank you. Andrew brought his brother Peter to Christ and my first cousin Billy brought this lost teenager to church where he met Christ. My few heavenly rewards will be no match for my “Andrew Brother” Billy Wallace, that he has already received. Kathy, please let your son Joshua know what a great dad he had, and Joseph for what a special grandad he had. I am forever indebted to your loved one, and God only knows where I’d be had it not been for his courage and kindness. Please know you are in our prayers and forever remain in our heart.

    Rev. L. Dale Butler

    From one grateful man
