Billy M. Maness

Billy McLendon Maness 82, died Friday, December 28, 2012 at the FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Reverend James Stalnaker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Maness was a native of Moore County. Bill retired from the Postal Service. He loved farming and served on the Moore Soil, Water and Conservation Board for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Maness and wife, Arlene Hussey Maness.
Bill is survived by his son, Tommy and wife, Pamela, of Asheboro, daughter: Lisa Lefler and husband, Mitchell of Concord; grandchildren: Jamie and Taylor of Asheboro, Ryan, Andrew and Sara of Concord, mother: Glenna Caviness Allred, sister: Montie Mae Russell, brother: Johnny R. Maness and wife, Clara Lee, brother in law: J C Hussey and wife, Teenie, and special friend Hilda Conrad.
The family will receive friends from 6- 8 PM, Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins, NC and at other time at the home.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 1595 North Moore Road, Robbins, NC 27325.
Kennedy Funeral Home is assisting the Maness family.
