Blannie Crouse Keith, 94, a resident of Cameron, NC, died Saturday July 18th, at her home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Cameron Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Teri McDowell-Ott. Burial will follow in Cameron Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home Wednesday from 6:00 —8:00 PM and other times at the residence.
A native of Stokes County, she was the daughter of John Wesley and Myrtie C. Wall Crouse. She married Aubrey L. Keith, a merchant in Vass, on June 5, 1937. Their entire 56 years of marriage were spent at the Keith home place in Cameron.
Blannie was an active member of the Cameron Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder, Clerk of Session and as Secretary of the Fayetteville Presbyterian Women. She received an honorary life membership for the Women of Cameron Presbyterian Church. Blannie was also an active member of her community. She was a member of the Craines Creek Home Extension Club, the Cameron Woman's Club, and a leader in the local 4-H Club.
In addition to her parents, Blannie was preceded in death by: her husband, Aubrey L. Keith, Sr., four sisters Raynor Clark, Leamon Lewis, Alma Thomas, Hazel Whitwright, and two brothers Luther Crouse and J.B. Crouse.
She is survived by: her children: Kay Peele and husband Clinton, Leon Keith and wife Doris of Cameron, Doreene Tant and husband Jerry of Matthews, Phillip Keith and wife Patsy of Carthage, Sandra Winstead of Oak Island, and Richard Keith and wife Beth of Ramseur; sister, Elaine Crissman of Ashley Heights; brother, James Crouse of Greensboro; 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
