Blennie L. Williams 96, passed Thursday, May 17, 2018 at her home, with her family by her side.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Pleasant View Friends Church, Eagle Springs, NC officiated by Pastor Quint Dunlap and Reverend Jacelyn Jones. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Blennie was a native of Moore County, and the daughter of the late William Riley and Annie Burns Lewis. She was a lifelong member of Pleasant View Friends Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and served on several committees. Blennie was preceded in death by her husband Atlas E Williams; son: Bobby Hugh Williams; granddaughters: Alisha and Devin Garner, Renee Smith; sisters: Macie L. Williams (Ollie), Lessie L. Garner (Newton); brother: Leason E. Lewis.
Blennie is survived by daughters: Betty W. Asbill (Sam), of Carthage, Barbara W. Healy, of Asheboro, Linda W. Jackson (Robert), of Biscoe, Hilda W. Ardt (Sonny), of Orlando, Fl., Deborah W. Garner (Kim), of Robbins; sons: Quincy A. Williams, of Eagle Springs, Riley E. Williams, of Robbins, David A. Williams (Barbara), of Eagle Springs, Phillip G. Williams (Louise), of Bennett; sisters in law: Hazel W. Brown (Russell), Faye Williams; 18 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at others times and the homeplace.
The family would like to thank all of the Hospice staff who helped so much May God Bless you all. A special thanks to Vicky and Kelsy Phillips for all their help and to Robert for all the trip to doctors appointments.
