Bruce A Woodcock Jr., 83, of Pinebluff, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at his residence.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Pinebluff Cemetery, with the Rev. Don Ballenger officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Powell Funeral Home, in Southern Pines.
Mr. Woodcock retired from Burlington Industries after 30 years of service. He was also a retired Pinebluff volunteer fireman.
Survivors include his wife, Joann Hart Woodcock; one son, John Quagliotti, of Cameron; six daughters, June W. Coe, of Winston-Salem, Judy W. Husketh, of Wilmington, Joann Marie Hossarth, of Pinebluff, Nancy Merkle, of Michigan, Donna Neeley, of Carthage, and Loreen Lamb, of New York; one brother, Walter Woodcock, of Pinehurst; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Pinebluff Fire Department, 110 North Pecan St., Pinebluff, NC 28373.

I AM SADDENED BY THE LOSE OF BRUCE. I HAVE KNOWN HIM SINCE 1957. SURLEY THIS IS AN OVERSITE, BUT WHY ISN’T HIS YOUNGEST DAUGHTER LANE BURNS AND HER 2 SONS OF PINEBLUFF MENTIONED? IF THIS IS NOT AN OVERSITE–SHAME ON YOU.
Just out of curiosity, why isn’t Lane Burns of Pine Bluff mentioned? She was adopted at age 5, she is his daughter????
