Bud Tullis

Bud C. Tullis, age 79, of Pittsboro died Sunday, January 17, 2016 at his home after several years of declining health.

 

A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Pittsboro Seventh-day Adventist Church conducted by Pastor David J. Cook and Elder Carolee Eubanks. Following the service the family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall.

 

A native of Indiana he was a son of the late Claude M. and Aldah White Tullis. Bud worked with General Electric and IBM as a computer programer and was involved with many projects through the Department of Defense. He developed a debilitating disease in the 1970’s causing him to have to retire at an early age.

 

He and his late wife Peggy Hunt Tullis lived in Raleigh for several years before settling in Pittsboro in the 1970’s.

 

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by: brothers Jack and Bob Tullis; sisters Janice and Ellen; a grandson Nathaniel William Tullis.

 

He is survived by: a daughter Lucinda T. Hoffman of Pittsboro; son Dennis Tullis and wife Gwen of Louisburg; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
