Burgwyn Tyson “B.T.” Fields, age 79, of Carthage died Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Firsthealth Moore Regional Hospital.
A graveside service is planned for 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Cool Springs United Methodist Church in Carthage. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home.
A native of Moore County, he was the son of the late Thomas Tyson Fields & Loma Mae Matthews Fields. He retired from Carthage Fabrics. B.T. loved farming and tractors. His pets held a special place in his heart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Edwards and nephew, John “Skippy” Fields.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Phillips Fields; one son, Tony T Fields of Carthage; a brother, J. T. Fields & wife, Sarah of Carthage; a son-in-law, Don Edwards of High Point; and two grandchildren, Elaina Dale Fields and Charles Webster Edwards.
Fry & Prickett Funeral Home is serving the Fields family.
