Carl Adams Monroe of Carthage died Thursday at Peak Resource-Pinelake in Carthage.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Culdee Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Tom Spence officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He was born May 4, 1935 to the late Gus Monroe and Betsy Morrison Monroe. He spent 30 years of his life as a long-distance truck driver for Dewitt Trucking.
Surviving are one sister, Gussie Monroe Marion and husband, Gilmer; three nephews, Johnie, Mike and Kent Marion; one niece, Linda Powers; three great-nephews; two great nieces; two great-great nieces; two step-great nephews and one step-great niece all of Carthage.
The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
