Carlton Fry Riddle

Carlton Fry Riddle, 86, of Oak Island and formerly of Carthage, NC, died Sunday, April 22, 2007 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 27 at the First Baptist Church of Carthage conducted by the Rev. Tom Herndon. Burial will follow in Cross Hill Cemetery
Mrs. Riddle was born in Carthage and was the daughter of the late D. Gilbert and Ada Berry Fry. She attended Carthage High School and received her training as a Registered Nurse at McLeod Infirmary in Florence, SC. She worked for many years as an RN at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. She was preceded in death by her
husband of fifty years John G. Riddle and a sister Minnie Belle Sellers.
She is survived by her son, John Riddle, Jr., of Oak Island; daughter, Irene Riddle Hughson and husband Stephen of Alameda, CA; a grandson Benjamin Hughson of Alameda,CA.
The family will receive friends Thursday from
6:00-8:00 p.m at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in
Carthage, NC.
