Carol Foster Allred, 79, of Southern Pines, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013. Mrs. Allred was born July 26, 1933 to the late Charlie Franklin and Lannie Howell Foster of Vass.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday May 2nd at Vass United Methodist Church with the Rev. Phillip Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Grove Cemetery in Vass NC. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm in the fellowship hall at the Church.
Mrs. Allred enjoyed a successful career in banking and retired in 1999 from First Savings Bank of Moore County. She enjoyed activities that included family, friends, church and her community.
She is survived by two brothers, Lewis F. Foster and his wife Edith B. Foster, Dennis R. Foster, sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Betty) H. Foster. Mrs. Allred was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Glenn F. Foster and sister, Ruth F. Frye and her husband W. Lewis Frye. She will be remembered for being a very special daughter, sister and aunt.
