Carole Ritter Lambert, age 90, of Robbins, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 surrounded by her family. 

Born in Moore County on December 14, 1931, Carole was a daughter of the late Wiley Fletcher and Viola Hussey Ritter. She graduated from Elise High School in 1950. Carole married the love of her life, Henry Marvin Lambert on January 5, 1951. Carole worked as a homemaker, and at Ithaca and Russell Industries. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by so many. Carole was a member of Beulah Baptist Church for over 70 years. She enjoyed gardening, going to ball games, and traveling. She and her late husband enjoyed attending local revivals and gospel singings. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends whom she loved dearly. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years: Marvin Lambert; siblings: Faye Callicutt and Walter Ritter; sons in law: Michael Hunter and Earl Spivey. 

Carole is survived by her children: Van Lambert of Robbins, Tamara Spivey of Robbins, Candace Dowd and husband Todd of Carthage, Kelly Lambert and wife Carolyn of Highfalls; siblings: W.F. Ritter and wife Oleen of Southern Pines, Lula Marley of Westmoore, Dorothy Yates and husband Ron of Jamestown, Marshall Ritter and wife Lavonne of Westmoore; sister in law: Helma Ritter of Pinehurst; grandchildren: Jan Hunter and wife Jessica, J.R. Hunter, Jace Hunter and wife Brooke, Dalton Dowd and fiancé Courtney, Bryson Lambert and girlfriend Ashlee, Bonnie Paige Lambert; step grandchild: Melissa Spivey; great grandchildren: Luke Hunter, Lacey Hunter; step great grandchildren: Anna Comer, Jordan Davis and wife Angel, Emily Maness, Scott Maness, step great great grandchild: Alyra Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 6-8 pm at Kennedy Funeral Home in Robbins. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 3 pm at Beulah Baptist Church in Bennett. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Anna Purvis Moore for the love, care and companionship she offered Carole during her final days.

  7. Tamara, I am so very sorry for your loss. Your mom was always so sweet to me way back when I would come over to your house. I was always made to feel welcome and at home. As years went by anytime I would see her she was always kind and sweet as always. I know you will miss her. My prayers are with you and your family. Love you.
