Carolyn Ritter Purvis 62, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at FirstHealth Hospice House, Pinehurst, NC surrounded by her family.

 

Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, with the Reverend William Saunders and Reverend Billy Joe Brady officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM in the church fellowship hall.

 

Carolyn was a native of Chatham County.  She was a cosmetologist and operated a business with her sister for many years. She loved her family, spending time with them was very important.  She enjoyed shopping, reading, and Hallmark Movies.  Carolyn was ready with a smile for everyone she met. Her dog, Holly was her pride and joy. Carolyn was a daughter of the late Colon Ritter and was preceded in death by brother: Ronald Ritter.

 

Carolyn is survived by husband: Arthur; daughter; Sandy M Brady and husband Jamie; stepchildren: C. W. Purvis, Bobby Purvis, Tony Purvis, Lisa Chriscoe, David Purvis, Greg Purvis; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; mother: Bonnie Ritter Maness; sisters: Patricia Cheek and husband David, Vickie Ritter; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

 

The family would like to especially thank the staff of FirstHealth Hospice for their care, love and support. Memorials may be made to FirstHealth Hospice, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
