Mr. Carthell Duncan Garner, 87, formerly of Robbins died Thursday, May 12th at Autumn Care in Biscoe.
Born August 29, 1923 in Randolph County he was a son of the late Alex and Lessie Williams Garner. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mildred Joyce Garner and a step-daughter, Barbara Haithcock. Mr. Garner was a Manager for Showell Hatchery Farm in Liberty, NC.
He is survived by his wife Katie Shepard Garner of the home, one son, Jerry Garner of Carthage, one daughter, Carolyn Hillard of Seven Lakes, two step daughters, Patricia Freeman of Wadesboro and Hannah McLean of Carthage, two step-sons Jimmy Williams of Moncure and James Graham of Louisiana, 12 Grandchildren, and 14Great Grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2011 at Kennedy Funeral Home in Robbins.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 11 a..m. at Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Brown's Chapel Christian Church Cemetery.
