Catherine McDuffie McDonald, age 92 of Carthage died Monday (January 19, 2015) at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

 

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Cross Hill Cemetery in Carthage conducted by the Rev. Rick Martindale.

 

Born in Hemp (Robbins, NC) she was a daughter of the late Dr. William N. and Annie Shields McDuffie. She retired from Moore County Schools after teaching for 41 years. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Carthage and enjoyed her flowers and birds.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles McDonald, Jr.; two brothers Norman and Fred McDuffie.

 

She is survived by: her son C.J. McDonald and wife Helen of Carthage; brother Bill McDuffie and wife Sue of Robbins; grandson Mack McDonald.

 

The family will receive friends at the home of C.J. and Helen McDonald.
