Cecil R. Sheffield 57, of 240 Morgan Brown Rd. Eagle Springs died Wednesday ( December 29, 2010) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday January 2, 2011 at Pleasant View Friends Church with the Rev. Jacelyn Jones and Rev. Bucky Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Morgan Brown Cemetery.
He was a native of Moore County. He worked for Milliken Company and Clayson. He was preceded in death by his father Elder Sheffield, brothers Roger and Jerry Sheffield. He was a loving father and grandfather and he loved his animals.
Surviving are his wife Brenda Farlowe Sheffield of the home, daughter Christina Sheffield Moore of Eagle Springs and son Joey Sheffield and wife Rebecca of Robbins, mother Dora Morgan Sheffield of Eagle Springs: five sisters Esther Lineberry of Tobaccoville,Doris York of Colridge, Iris Lambert of Robbins, Joyce Hurley of Asheboro and Irene Davis of Star; brothers Redell and Floyd Sheffield both of Robbins, one grand daughter Anna Moore and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Kennedy Funeral Home in Robbins and other times at the home of his mother Dora Sheffield at 160 Morgan Brown Rd. Eagle Springs.
