Charles A. 'Tony' Leslie, age 49 of 39 Ridge Haven Road died Monday (September 20, 2010) while on a long distance truck route in Tifton, GA.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at the Star of Hope Baptist Church in Sanford conducted by Bishop Allan Smith. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial with military honors will be 10:00 AM Monday at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.
A native of Moore County he was a son of James Elmer Leslie and the late Cora Mae Williams Leslie. He was a long distance truck driver and and was working for US Express. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by: a sister Brenda Leslie and a daughter Candice Leslie.
He is survived by: his children Kia Leslie of Baltimore, MD, Charles A. Leslie, II of Spring Lake, Jasmine West of Sanford, Antonio Trapp of Raleigh, Gloria Winchester of Baltimore, MD; his father James Elmer Leslie; sisters Elizabeth Ann Johnson of Hinesville, GA, Nancy Jones of Cameron, Mildred Leslie of Southern Pines, Pamela Green of Carthage; brothers Otis McNeill of Odenton, MD, James Norman Leslie of Baltimore, MD; seven grandchildren and a special friend Laverne Bryant.

I was sadden of hearing of the passing of Charles Leslie. He was a great man that will be missed by his family, his church family and all that knew him. May God continue to bless and keep the famiy during this trying time. Grace and Peace be unto you.
