Charles E. (Ed) Johnson, III, 71, passed away from complications of a long-term illness on 19 Jan 2012. Mr. Johnson was a longtime resident of Foxfire Village and worked in the insurance industry.

He is survived by daughter Kimberly Brown and husband Brad of Charlotte NC., son Chad Johnson and wife Angela of Greenville SC. Two granddaughters Peyton and Amanda Cranford.

Private services will be held on Sunday, 22 Jan.
In lieu of condolences, contributions can be made to the Reid Heart Centers Coronary Care Unit FirstHealth of the Carolinas Pinehurst NC.
Powell Funeral Home and Crematory of Southern Pines is assisting the family.
