Christine Blaylock Garner, 80, died Tuesday December 6th, 2011 at her home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Newton officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the church.
Born June 21, 1931 in Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late John Pearson and Mary Naomi Burnette Blaylock and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Fletcher Garner.
She is survived by three daughters, Pat McRae (Harrison) of Carthage, Mary Douglas, and Becky Oldham (John) of Lakeview, five sisters, Bonnie Thompson, Bernice Stamey, Margaret Blaylock, Judy Mashburn, and Cheryl Sandford, four grandchildren, Sheila McRae, Phillip Bowman, Johnny Oldham, and Tiffany Douglas, and six great grandchildren.
Powell Funeral Home of Southern Pines is in charge of the arrangements.
