Christine Spinks Stewart 86, left December 18, 2016 to go celebrate Christ's Birthday in Heaven.

 

Graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Dr. John Williamson officiating.

 

Christine was born December 21, 1929 to the late Pete Dalton and Cora McNeil Spinks.  She was a Member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed time spent with them.  Christine was a homemaker, grew vegetables in the garden and prepared home cooked meals. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Eugene (Jeep) Stewart; daughter: Pamela Stewart Phillips; son in law: Frank Minor; brothers: Grady Spinks, Bennie Spinks, Paul Spinks; sister: Ruth Ballard and Vera Tryon.

 

Christine is survived by son: Duncan E. Stewart and wife Jennie, of Siler City; daughter: Lisa Stewart Minor; grandson: Delan Minor; granddaughter: Christa Minor; great granddaughter: Khloe Marley, all of Robbins; sister in law: Mae Spinks, of Asheboro.

 

The family would like to send special thanks to caregiver, Priscilla Foxx.  

 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Kennedy Funeral Home.

 

Memorials may be made to FirstHealth Hospice, 150 Applecross Drive, Pinehurst,  NC 28374.

  1. On behalf of my mother (Della Hancock Gillis), we send our sincerest sympathy to the family. Mom wanted to attend the funeral but didn’t know in time. They were very close cousins growing up. She is sad about Christine and sends her love to the family.
