Christopher Connard Martin, age 34, of 337 Horne Estate Road, Carthage died on Sunday (October 4, 2009) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday (October 7, 2009) at 11:00 AM at Fairview Baptist Church Youth Building with the Rev. Donnie Gillis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He was the son of Connard & Bonnie Horne Martin of Carthage.. He was a graduate of Union Pines High School and was a supervisor for R. L. Bradsher Contracting Co. Sandpit in Harnett County. He was a deacon and the youth pastor at Fairview Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, his survivors include his wife, Sherry Ann Williams Martin; two daughters, Sumer Martin and Katelyn Martin of the home; a son, Christopher Martin, Jr., of the home; father in law, Roger Williams of Carthage, mother in law, Judy Furr of Lobelia; maternal grandmother, Grace Horne of Carthage; paternal grandmother, Kathy Taylor of Carthage; a sister, Amanda Russell and husband, Marty of Hope Mills and a brother in law, Tim Williams and wife, Kelly of Carthage. The family will receive friends on Tuesday (October 6, 2009) from 6:00-8:00 PM at Fairview Baptist Youth Building and at other times at the home.of Grace Horne, 1680 Joel Road, Carthage..
