Clifford Jacob-Glenn Romero, 38, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023 at his home in Holden Beach, NC..

Jacob was born and raised in Moore County.  He was very active in sports at an early age.  He played baseball and basketball throughout both middle and high school and excelled at both. Jacob loved being outdoors, camping and fishing with his friends.  Most of all Jacob loved his children with all his heart.  They were his true joy and comfort. 

Jacob is survived by his parents: Joseph Romero and Janet Romero; children: Victoria 

Lillyin-Jade Romero, Nathaniel Eden-Jacob Romero, Daniel Maxwell Jones Romero, Isabella Rain Cordell; brother: William Justin-Bryant Romero and friends

A Celebration of Life service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday August 19, 2023 at Putnam Friends Church, 136 Putnam Church Road, Carthage, NC, with Reverend James Brewer officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall of the church.. 

Kennedy Funeral Home is assisting the Romero Family.

  1. My heart is heavy. Jacob was such a sweet soul.. always kind and polite. I first met him and his family when they had the restaurant under the bridge, ( mainland side ) always pleasant. He will be missed for sure.. praying that God will give his family peace and comfort in the days ahead.. much love..

  6. So sad to hear this. Lots of good memories helping coach Jake as a young boy in rec ball. Then as he became a teen in high school and watching him progress in the sports he loved.
