Clyde “Bud” Hobart Hussey, 87, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.

Funeral Service will be  3:00 PM, Sunday, July 28 , 2019 at Acorn Ridge Baptist Church, with Dr. John Williamson and Reverend Chad Nall  officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Unity Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30 PM and at the home of his sister, Estelle Wallace, 208 Claude Road, Robbins, NC 27325.

Clyde was a native of Moore County.  He served his country in the United States Army.  He worked in the textile industry for many years. Clyde could fix anything, like small engines and watches.   He enjoyed woodworking and flying remote airplanes. He loved music, playing the guitar, banjo, bass and mandolin.  Clyde and his wife Carolyn were members of the gospel group the “Family Singers”. He was a son of the late Fentress and Zola Needham Hussey and was preceded in death by 6 siblings.

Clyde is survived by his wife of  61 years, Carolyn; sisters: Hilda Morgan, Estelle Wallace, Margaret Upchurch, Katie Rodgers; brother: Gerald Hussey; sisters-in-law: Janice Hussey, Etheline Hussey;  many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials may be made to Unity Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 849 Mount Carmel Road, Carthage, NC 28327 or the charity of your choice..
