Crystal Davis Owens, 47, died Saturday, May 13, 2023 at her home.
Crystal was a graduate of North Moore High School. She was a loving daughter, sister and mother. Crystal worked for the Department of Social Services. Crystal was devoted to both of her daughters and time spent with them was her most important and enjoyable activity. She liked shopping, trips to the beach, sweet tea and coffee. Summertime was her favorite and trips to the pool were always fun. Crystal was preceded in death by father: Kenneth Davis.
Crystal is survived by daughters: Mykenzie Chriscoe, Miley Chriscoe; mother: Cathy Davis, sister: Amy Shelton and husband David; nephew: Travis Shelton and wife Kristiana; her “adopted” daughter: Makayla; many friends and her dog “Chloe”.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Browns Chapel Christian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery..
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her mother, Cathy.

Will miss this sweet lady. Her smile was infectious. Her heart was so generous and sweet and just plain good. My comfort is in knowing that she is at peace. No more treatments. No more sickness. No more pain. She fought hard, and I am so proud of her for that. I am honored to have known Crystal and call her friend. I will always wish there was more I could have done. I will continue to do what I can for the girls, especially. Love to all of the family.

Crystal was always such a dear friend to me and I’m so glad we were friends for as many years as we were. I will miss her very much. I am glad she is at peace and no longer having to fight and suffer every day. She was such a strong and courageous woman with a heart of gold!

Upon meeting Crystal 20 plus years ago, we became fast friends. She had the best sense of humor and always made me laugh. We had some great times and made wonderful memories. Whereas, I am thankful she is no longer in pain and her body is healed, she is missed terribly. Sissy, I love you and will always.

I’m so sorry to hear of Crystal’s passing as well as the struggles she endured. We were childhood friends, and shared many good times as such. I have fond memories of blazing hot Farmer’s Days, Crushing on boys at the skating rink , and the time I got to tag along on the family beach vacation in the SS Monte Carlo…Good times that went all too soon, as did she.

Crystal was one of my science students at Elise Middle School when I first started my teaching career. Many years have passed since then, but she stands out as one of the sweetest, most humble students I have ever taught. I am so sad to hear the news of her passing!
