Dalton "Shane" Smith

Dalton “Shane” Smith, age 29, of Carthage passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024.
Born in Moore County, on June 14, 1994, he is a son of Rodney Albert Smith and Teresa Cain Smith.
Shane was very talented, he enjoyed drawing and was a tattoo artist.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Dinah K. Cain and uncle: Phillip R. Smith.
In addition to his parents, Shane is survived by his step mother: Diane W. Smith; brothers: Rodney “Dustin” Smith and Johnny “Ridge” Smith; step brother Steven C. Carpenter; sister: Madison S. McKinney; step sister: Teresa J. Tyner; son: Jacob Rian Farris; grandparents: Marcia Pressley and Johnny A. Smith; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Monday, April 22, 2024 at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage with Pastor Brent Smith and Pastor Brad Marona officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM.
A private graveside service will be held at the Smith’s Family Cemetery.
Anyone planning to attend the service is asked to dress casually as Shane always said “come as you are”.
